Abstract

The invention discloses a traffic control method and apparatus. In the method, an MeNB (Master evolved Node B) sends a data packet and a data packet sequence number to an SeNB (Secondary evolved Node B); and the MeNB receives an information set fed by the SeNB for responding to the data packet and the data packet sequence number, wherein the information set comprises at least one piece of the following information: the data packet sequence number received by the SeNB from the MeNB, a data packet sequence number sent to UE (User Equipment) by the SeNB, a size of a cache capable of being used by the SeNB, and a volume of data which is cached by the SeNB and is not sent to the UE. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, data transmission efficiency of the SeNB side in the double connection process is optimized, and data loss possibly generated at the SeNB side is effectively avoided.
