The method comprises the following steps of calculating out an electrocardiogram waveform voltage amplitude An which is acquired by each acquisition channel; distributing an electrocardiogram waveform drawing spatial height Hn to each channel; calculating the electrocardiogram waveform baseline value MEANn of each channel; and calculating out an electrocardiogram waveform baseline arrangement position BASELINEn, calculating the maximal value, the least value and the baseline position value of the electrocardiogram waveform of each channel, calculating out the electrocardiogram waveform baseline arrangement position in the respective area of each output channel waveform, and automatically adjusting the baseline output position of the electrocardiogram waveform for ensuring a fact that the electrocardiogram waveform is arranged at the central position of the respective area. The method is advantageous in that the electrocardiogram waveform is sufficiently utilized for drawing the area space; on condition that the electrocardiogram waveform gain is not adjusted as possible, waveform boundary exceeding and intersection are prevented for realizing reasonable arrangement and proper gain of the electrocardiogram waveform; and furthermore an attractive electrocardiogram which is obtained through the method facilitates reading by a doctor.
