The system comprises an exciting system, a driving system, a bearing fixing system, a loading system, an excitation system, a signal acquisition system and a signal analyzing and processing system; a tested bearing is the magnetic liquid lubricated floating-ring bearing, when the exciting system is not started, the test system tests the characteristic of the magnetic liquid lubricated floating-ring bearing in the state that a magnetic field is not started, and reference data which is collected when liquid influences the bearing characteristic in the magnetic field is compared; and after the exciting system is started, dynamic characteristic of the magnetic liquid lubricated floating-ring bearing is tested and calculated. The system and method are used to test the dynamic characteristic of the floating-ring bearing lubricated by magnetic liquid as magnetorheological suspensions and iron fluid.
