The refrigerator further comprises a cold-storage system including a first liquid storage device which is arranged in one storage room and used for holding cold storage liquid in a controllable way, at least one second liquid storage device thermally connected with an evaporator and a circulating pump. The at least one second liquid storage device communicates with the first liquid storage device through a pipeline in a controllable way. Each second liquid storage device is used for holding cold storage liquid in a controllable way. The circulating pump is configured for controllably pumping cold storage liquid of the first liquid storage device to each second liquid storage device and pumping cold storage liquid in each second liquid storage device to the first liquid storage device. The refrigerator and the control method thereof have following beneficial effects: cold-storage liquid can be stored in the at least one second liquid storage device for cold storage; when cold energy of cold storage device is needed to be utilized for refrigerating the at least one storage room, cold storage liquid is pumped to the first liquid storage device for releasing cold energy.
