The method includes the following steps that: the relative sensitivity of preset control parameters of each photovoltaic inverter is acquired; evaluation standardization is carried out on the preset control parameters of the photovoltaic inverters; the clustering indexes of the photovoltaic inverters are obtained; clustering is carried out on the clustering indexes of the photovoltaic inverters according to a K-means clustering algorithm; and photovoltaic inverters in the same cluster are equivalently replaced through an equivalent photovoltaic inverter according to the result of the clustering, and equivalent modeling is carried out. Since the control parameters of the photovoltaic inverters of the large-scale photovoltaic inverter system are different, the photovoltaic inverters are clustered by using the K-means clustering algorithm, so that the photovoltaic inverters in the same cluster have similar dynamic characteristics; the photovoltaic inverters in the same cluster are equivalently replaced through one equivalent photovoltaic inverter, so that the equivalent modeling can be carried out; and therefore, error in the modeling of the photovoltaic inverters can be decreased, and the scale of the modeling can be also decreased.
