The method comprises the following steps that a video alarm apparatus which comprises an operation system and a master control system is provided, wherein the master control system is provided with an alarming rule, and has the functions of data storage, processing configuration and transmission, linkage control and network control and application; the video alarm apparatus is connected to a vidicon which is used for collecting video information and transmitting a collected video to the master control system; the master control system receives the video collected by the vidicon and analyzes the video, and meanwhile filters out some videos irrelevant to alarm; and the master control system emits an alarm signal when finding the videos or behaviors which are abnormal or not accordant with the predetermined rule.
