Abstract

The invention relates to an ethanol sensor based on a horseshoe-shaped SO2 sensitive material having annular meso-pores, and a production method of the sensor, and belongs to the technical field of semiconductor oxide gas sensors. The horseshoe-shaped SO2 sensitive material having annular meso-pores, prepared through using a soft template technology, is used in the invention. The large specific surface area and the ordered pore structure of the meso-porous material are used to effectively improve the sensitive property of the sensor to C2H5OH. The sensor structure is composed of an Al2O3 insulating ceramic tube with two annular gold electrodes, a semiconductor sensitive material coated on the annular gold electrodes and the Al2O3 insulating ceramic tube, and a nickel-chromium alloy heating coil traversing through the Al2O3 insulating ceramic tube. The sensor disclosed in the invention has the advantages of simple process, small size, and suitableness for large-batch production, so the sensor has wide application prospect in the detection of the content of C2H5OH in environment.
