The method comprises the following steps: constructing a multi-quadrangle base mesh body composed of multiple quadrilateral surface patches according to topographic space data, and determining the adjacency information of each quadrilateral surface patch; selecting effective quadrilateral surface patches according to viewpoint parameters and a default resolution, wherein the effective quadrilateral surface patches are quadrilateral surface patches in a visible area of the multi-quadrangle base mesh body; triangularizing the effective quadrilateral surface patches in sequence, segmenting the effective quadrilateral surface patches into multiple triangular sub-patches, and determining the adjacency information of each triangular sub-patch; and performing combination according to the adjacency information of the effective quadrilateral surface patches and the adjacency information of the triangular sub-patches, and determining a combined topographic map.
