Abstract

The invention provides a temperature detecting device and a temperature detecting method. The temperature detecting device comprises a first diode, a second diode, a current source, an analog-to-digital converter, a digital calculator and a voltage-to-temperature converter. The current source selectively outputs a direct current to the first diode and the second diode, so as to generate a first voltage and a second voltage separately. The analog-to-digital converter converts the first voltage into a first digital signal according to a reference voltage, and converts the second voltage into a second digital signal. The digital calculator calculates a quotient by using the first digital signal and the second digital signal, wherein the quotient is a ratio of the difference between the first voltage and the second voltage to the second voltage.
