Abstract

The invention provides HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) cigarette harm reducing particles as well as a preparation method and an application thereof. The HEPA cigarette harm reducing particles are prepared by the following steps: uniformly stirring HEPA fiber powder, propanediol, propanetriol, honey and pure water which serve as raw materials until agglomerated granules are obtained; conducting granulation by virtue of a granulator; and drying and cooling prepared granules, and sieving the granules so as to obtain the HEPA granules of 20-80 mesh. In a filter stick molding process, the HEPA cigarette harm reducing particles, which account for 5-20% in terms of the weight of a filter stick, are uniformly sprinkled on tows of the filter stick, so that the prepared filter stick contains the HEPA cigarette harm reducing particles; the filter stick, when combined with a conventional cellulose acetate filter stick, can be prepared into a composite filter tip, and the filter tip, together with cut tobacco sticks, can be prepared into a cigarette; and the cigarette is excellent in harm reducing performance, and tar and nicotine in the cigarette are reduced. In addition, instead of affecting the smoking quality of the cigarette, the fragrance of the cigarette is reduced, so that the cigarette becomes mild in taste and is more comfortable and cleaner in aftertaste.
