Embodiment Construction

[0032] The implementation of the present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the drawings and examples.

[0033] like figure 1 As shown, the data center uses a cooling system to cool down, and the heat generated by the server causes the generation of hot air.

[0034] 1. Energy consumption model, including the following parts:

[0035] A. Description of server system energy consumption model: Suppose there are J users in IDC. At time t, define e j (t) is the energy consumption of a server, L j (t) is the load of user j (task arrival rate), m j (t) is the number of servers in user j, j∈{1,...,J}. Server energy consumption can be expressed as a linear function of server load:

[0036]

[0037] here a 1 is the marginal energy consumption of the CPU, a 2 Indicates the energy consumption of the server except the CPU. The total energy consumption of all servers of user j can be expressed as: E j (t)=m j (t)×e j (t)=a 1 L j (t)+a 2 m j (...

Abstract

In the contemporary data center industry, energy consumption of air conditioning systems accounts for a large proportion of total energy consumption, so how to reduce the total energy consumption of air conditioners and servers is what the industry and the academia focus on. The present invention provides a data center energy consumption optimization resource control algorithm under a server average temperature constraint. With quality of service and a server average temperature constraint ensured, an average temperature-aware power minimization model (called ATPM for short) is established, and a Lyapunov optimization theory is used in an algorithm to approximately solve an ATPM problem. The algorithm does not need to measure statistical information of a workload in advance, and the algorithm is low in complexity and easy for implementation.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of data center energy saving, and in particular relates to a data center energy consumption optimization resource control algorithm under the constraint of average server temperature. Background technique [0002] In the past ten years of the rapid development of IT technology, cloud computing has provided users with flexible services, sounded the clarion call for mobile services to take off, and at the same time detonated the advent of the era of big data, guiding the development direction of distributed computing research. In 2013, the first year of the big data era, a large number of Internet Data Centers (IDC, Internet Data Center) have built a reliable and stable platform for a variety of Internet services. Although IDC is widely accepted by many enterprises to support large-scale storage and computing, the entire IDC industry is facing the thorny problem of huge energy consumption. Today's IT giants, ...
