Abstract

The invention provides a method and device for enhancing bearer continuity in a 3GPP network. In one novel aspect, the UE detects missing parameters for inter-RAT bearer change in idle state. The UE implements a bearer reservation procedure to maintain bearer continuity. In one embodiment, pre-defined / pre-configured parameter settings are used. In one embodiment, missing parameters are mapped to predefined values ​​based on one or more known parameters using mapping rules.
