Abstract

The invention provides an automatic duplicate checking method. The method comprises the steps of obtaining document data to be subjected to duplicate checking, and automatically screening keywords of the document data; establishing a literature index table, wherein the literature index table comprises literature indexes and one or more words corresponding to each literature index; extracting words expressing a topic from data of each literature, and endowing the extracted words with the literature indexes according to the literature index table; searching out the literature indexes corresponding to the keywords from the literature index table, and retrieving the literature data containing the searched literature indexes from a database; calculating the similarity between each word in the document data and each word in the retrieved literature data to obtain word similarity; and calculating the similarity between the document data and the retrieved literature data according to the word similarity. The invention furthermore discloses an automatic duplicate checking apparatus. According to the automatic duplicate checking method and apparatus provided by the invention, the similarity between the document data and the retrieved literature data can be efficiently and accurately judged.
