The device for preparing zinc powder comprises a zinc melting furnace, an electrically-heated insulated flow pipe, a heat preserving furnace, an atomizing nozzle, an atomizing tower, a high pressure water system, a wet vibrating screen and a segmented settling tank, wherein the heat preserving furnace and the zinc melting furnace constitute a U-shaped communicating vessel by the electrically-heated insulated flow pipe, and the zinc melting furnace, the electrically-heated insulated flow pipe and the heat preserving furnace constitute a horizontal and steady liquid-zinc flow channel, thereby ensuring that the liquid level of the liquid zinc in the heat preserving furnace is constant and the liquid zinc is clean, the flow velocity, flow quantity and temperature of the liquid zinc flowing out of the heat preserving furnace are stable, and then realizing the continuous stable production of the zinc powder. In addition, in the invention, the liquid zinc can be atomized by a high pressure atomized water flow without air atomization, which avoids the zinc powder from contacting with air, therefore, theprepared zinc powder has the advantages of no oxide film on the surface, small and uniform particle size, large specific surface area and good activity, and is helpful for the smooth processing of the zinc hydrometallurgy.
