Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for a cloud system. The method may include dynamically selecting a scheduling policy from a set of candidate scheduling policies based on available infrastructure resources and at least one resource request; and executing the selected scheduling policy to schedule the infrastructure resources to service the at least one resource request. Through the embodiments of the present disclosure, when a single or a batch of resource requests arrives, the most appropriate scheduling strategy will be dynamically selected and an optimal resource allocation plan will be generated for these requests, which results in cost-effective operation while satisfying resource requirements.
