Abstract

The present invention provides a method for determining and configuring a maximum CCA time period based on channel load information for an FBE LBT channel access mechanism. The CCA period is a random CCA period generated from the maximum CCA period, which is configurable and carried in RRC signaling or in the beacon signal of LAA. In order to solve the problem of collision in synchronous networks, and the problem of unfairness in asynchronous networks, the CCA maximum time period can be adaptive based on the experienced channel occupancy status and or experienced synchronization difference in the network. First, the maximum time period of CCA can be adjusted according to the channel load. Second, the maximum time period of CCA can be longer than the timing difference between eNB and UE.
