Embodiment 1

[0027] Embodiment 1 (investigate the impact of girdling time on germination rate)

[0028] A method for improving the girdling germination rate of Eucalyptus euplica, comprising the steps of:

[0029] (1) select the Eucalyptus glabrata that will be girdled: choose the eucalyptus glabrata of 5 years old;

[0030] (2) Determine the girdling time: the girdling time is 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 months (10 trees per month);

[0031] (3) Determine the girdling height: the height of the lower edge of the girdling place from the ground is 90cm;

[0032] (4) Determine the girdling width: the girdling width is 20cm;

[0033] (5) Management and protection after girdling: no management and protection.

[0034] The number of sprouted shoots after 10 weeks of girdling is shown in Table 1.

Embodiment 2

[0037] Embodiment 2 (investigate the impact of girdling height on germination rate)

[0038] A method for improving the girdling germination rate of Eucalyptus euplica, comprising the steps of:

[0039] (1) select the Eucalyptus glabrata that will be girdled: choose the eucalyptus glabrata of 5 years old;

[0040] (2) Determine the girdling time: the girdling time is July;

[0041] (3) Determine the girdling height: the height of the lower edge of the girdling place from the ground is 10, 30, 50, 70, 90, 110cm (10 trees are girdled for each girdling height);

[0042] (4) Determine the girdling width: the girdling width is 20cm;

[0043] (5) Management and protection after girdling: no management and protection.

[0044] The number of sprouted shoots after 10 weeks of girdling is shown in Table 2.

Embodiment 3

[0048] Embodiment 3 (investigate the impact of girdling width on germination rate)

[0049] A method for improving the girdling germination rate of Eucalyptus euplica, comprising the steps of:

[0050] (1) select the Eucalyptus glabrata that will be girdled: choose the eucalyptus glabrata of 5 years old;

[0051] (2) Determine the girdling time: the girdling time is July;

[0052] (3) Determine the girdling height: the height of the lower edge of the girdling place from the ground is 90cm;

[0053] (4) Determine the girdling width: the girdling width is 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35cm (10 trees for each girdling width);

[0054] (5) Management and protection after girdling: no management and protection.

[0055] The number of sprouted shoots after 10 weeks of girdling is shown in Table 3.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method capable of improving the germination rate of Eucalyptus tereticornis after girdling. The method comprises the following steps: (1) selecting to-be-girdled Eucalyptus tereticornis; (2) determining the time of girdling; (3) determining the height of girdling; (4) determining the width of girdling; and (5) management and protection after girdling. The method provided by the invention can effectively improve the number of germinated branches of a single Eucalyptus tereticornis tree after girdling, and lays the foundation for large-scale cutting propagation.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of forest cultivation. More specifically, it relates to a method for improving the girdling germination rate of Eucalyptus cherubi. Background technique [0002] Eucalyptus spp. is native to Australia and is one of the world's three largest fast-growing tree species. It can be felled in 5-6 years and is used as an important raw material for papermaking and artificial boards, so it is also called the rich tree. Its crown is stretched and sparse, the trunk is straight, and the branches are high. Therefore, it is not very operable to take its branches at any time for cutting propagation. Usually, the method of girdling is used to make new branches germinate at the girdling place (the Eucalyptus spp. Propagate by cuttings. The more new shoots sprout from each girdled Eucalyptus, the fewer Eucalyptus trees need to be girdled. However, there are few studies on the girdling of Eucalyptus spp., and few shoots ge...
