Abstract

Railway container weather-proof steel with the yield strength larger than or equal to 550 MPa comprises, by weight, 0.06%-0.12% of C, 0.10%-0.50% of Si, 1.5%-2.0% of Mn, not larger than 0.050% of P, not larger than 0.012% of S, 0.20%-0.40% of Cu, 0.30%-0.80% of Cr, 0.20%-0.40% of Ni, 0.045%-0.10% of Nb, 0.01%-0.045% of Ti, 0.05%-0.20% of Mo and not larger than 0.010%. A production method comprises the steps of conducting smelting, continuous casting blank formation and heating a cast blank; conducting rough rolling; conducting fine rolling; conducting conventional laminar cooling on the blank until the blank is cooled to a coiling temperature; and conducting coiling. By the adoption of the railway container weather-proof steel with the yield strength larger than or equal to 550 MPa and the production method, due to the Nb and Ti composite microalloying technology, on the premise of guaranteeing that the yield strength of a steel plate is larger than or equal to 550 MPa, the tensile strength is larger than or equal to 600 MPa, the ductility is larger than or equal to 18%, the yield strength fluctuation of the same coil is within 26 MPa, the tensile strength fluctuation of the same coil is within 24 MPa, the ductility fluctuation of the same coil is within 2%, and the requirements of higher-end users are met.
