Abstract

The invention provides a channel switching method and device, which are applied to a digital television. The digital television is connected with a CAM card for descrambling TV programs. The method comprises the following steps: when the digital television plays a scrambled program under a DTV channel, if detecting that the digital television is switched from the DTV channel to another channel, sending a descrambling interrupt instruction to the CAM card, wherein the descrambling interrupt instruction is used for indicating the CAM card to empty descrambling information of the scrambled program. The method can solve the problem of poor user experience caused since a longer audio/video mute state time duration has to be set to prevent the phenomenon of blurred screen or flash screen when the digital television is switched from other channels to the DTV channel.
