Abstract

The invention provides a message forwarding method and device applied to a node in an SR network. The method includes: when an MPLS message encapsulating a master label stack and a backup label stackis obtained, determining a state of a link corresponding to a stack top label of the master label stack, wherein a label which the master label stack includes is an adjacent label; a label which the backup label stack includes is a node label of a destination node; and when the state of the link is a faulty state, deleting the master label stack, and forwarding the MPLS message based on the backuplabel stack.
