The invention provides a message forwarding method and device based on an aggregation chain. The method comprises steps of receiving a message, wherein the message carries characteristic information thereof; in the case that the message carries forwarding port information corresponding to the characteristic information, according to a forwarding port corresponding to the characteristic information, forwarding the message; or, in case that the message fails to carry forwarding port information corresponding to the characteristic information, searching forwarding port information corresponding to the characteristic information in a preset rule table; and when searching the forwarding port information corresponding to the characteristic information, according to the port corresponding to thecharacteristic information, forwarding the message. According to the invention, a problem of loss of important messages caused by message forwarding in a load sharing manner in the prior art is solved; it is achieved that the message is forwarded through a unique port of the aggregation chain and other messages are still forwarded in the normal load sharing mode; and reliable and highly efficientforwarding of the important messages is well ensured.
