A rental customer positioning method for electricity marketing relates to a rental customer positioning method. The method comprises the following steps of (1) primary selection of an index; (2) index analysis including continuous variable analysis and discrete variable analysis; (3) determination of the index; (4) construction of a rental customer prediction model; and (5) output of a rental prediction result according to the determined rental customer prediction model, and positioning of the rental customer. According to the technical scheme, characteristic analysis is carried out on the rental customer firstly; a plurality of indexes for influencing the analysis of the rental customer are extracted as a predictive index set from three dimensions of basic information, payment behavior and electricity consumption characteristics; the rental customer prediction model is constructed through a C5.0 decision tree algorithm; the rental customer is accurately positioned torealize precise marketing, the electricity consumption behavior of the rental customer is standardized, the electric bill recovery efficiency is improved and the potential safety hazard is reduced.
