The method is applied to a badminton robot, and the badminton robot comprises a camera; the method for prejudging the real-time placement of the badminton ball comprises the steps of obtaining a color image and a depth image of the badminton ball through the camera in real time; calculating first coordinates of the badminton ball in a camera coordinate system according to the color image and the depth image; utilizing the first coordinates and position and posture coordinates to calculate second coordinates of the badminton ball in a world coordinate system, wherein the position and posture coordinates are position and posture coordinates obtained in advance of the badminton robot in the world coordinate system; utilizing the second coordinates and an aerodynamic model of the badminton ball to calculate placement coordinates of the badminton ball in the world coordinate system.
