Abstract

The invention relates to an image segmentation method and device. The method comprises that an initial background area of a to-be-segmented image of multi-frame images is determined according to characteristics of the multi-frame images; a basic matrix adapting to the background area is determined according to the initial background area; an initial foreground area of the to-be-segmented image isdetermined according to the basic matrix of the background area; according to the initial foreground area, the to-be-segmented image is processed to determine the segmentation result of the to-be-segmented image, and the segmentation result comprises the foreground area and the background area acquired through final segmentation. The method is advantaged in that the initial background area of theto-be-segmented image is determined according to the characteristics of the multi-frame images, the basic matrix adapting to the background area is determined according to the initial background area,the initial foreground area of the to-be-segmented image is determined according to the basic matrix, the to-be-segmented image is processed, the segmentation result of the to-be-segmented image is determined, and thereby the relatively fast and robust image segmentation method is realized.
