The method includes: acquiring a cover set of a video, wherein the cover set contains at least one to-be-selected cover image; inputting the video title of the video into a semantic-feature extraction module, which is obtained through training, to obtain a video title feature; inputting each to-be-selected cover image in the cover set into an image feature extraction module, which is obtained through training, to obtain a cover image feature of each to-be-selected cover image; and calculating a distancebetween the video title feature and the cover image feature of each to-be-selected cover image, and determining a should-be-selected cover image according to a calculation result.
