Abstract

Systems, methods, and apparatus for connecting a multi-stage turbocharger system to a heat exchanger are disclosed. The multi-stage turbocharger includes at least a first compressor and a second compressor having respective first and second outlets. A piping connection arrangement is provided connecting each of the first compressor outlet and the second compressor outlet to a common inlet of a heat exchanger. The piping connection arrangement comprises a flow transition section connected to the first compressor outlet and the second compressor outlet, a diffuser section and a flow transfer section connected to the inlet of the heat exchanger.
