Embodiment Construction

[0054] figure 1 shows a hydraulic system in which the Figure 2 to Figure 20 pump unit. The hydraulic system is a heating system with two hydraulic circuits. The hydraulic system has a main heat exchanger 2 heated for example by burners such as gas burners or oil burners. Thus, the main heat exchanger 2 is in particular eg a boiler, but it can also be another suitable heat generator. Behind the main heat exchanger 2 in the flow direction is a branch point 4 at which the circuit is divided into two branches or loops. A first circuit 5 extends through the building for room heating and is identified as a radiator 6 in this embodiment. It should be pointed out that the heating circuit 5 may have more than one radiator 6, or may also have other heating pipelines. The second hydraulic circuit 7 extends through a secondary heat exchanger 8 for service water heating. The heating circuit 5 and the second circuit 7 open into a valve 10 which is part of a pump unit 12 . The pump u...

Abstract

The invention relates to a pump unit (12) having a pump housing, a rotor (18) arranged in the pump housing (16; 16') so as to be able to rotate, an electric motor (20) which is connected to the rotor(18) and can selectively be operated in two directions of rotation (A, B), and at least one valve (10; 10') with at least one valve element (106) which can be moved into two different switching positions by the flow generated by the rotor (18) depending on the direction of rotation (A, B) of the rotor (18), wherein one radius (r2; r2') of the pump housing (16, 16'), at least in a circumferential section (104) in the circumferential region of the rotor (18), is at least 1.4 times and preferably at least 2 times the radius (r1) of the rotor (18), and a hydraulic system having at least two hydraulic circuits and a pump unit (12) of this type, wherein the valve (10, 10') is designed as a switching valve between the two hydraulic circuits.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a pump unit with valves and to a hydraulic system with such a pump unit. Background technique [0002] For example, patent document EP 0 460 399 A2 discloses a pump unit in the form of a heating circuit pump which has integrated valves for selectively directing the liquid flow from the pump unit to two different outlets. Depending on the direction of rotation of the impeller, the valve acts in the pump unit. By means of the liquid being accelerated in the circumferential direction, the valve element of the valve is guided into two different working positions depending on the direction of rotation. [0003] A disadvantage of this known bidirectional pump is that the efficiency is difficult to optimize. When the impeller has radially directed blades, the efficiency in both directions of rotation is the same, but not optimal. If the impeller has curved blades, as is common in modern circulating pumps, the efficiency is improved...
