Abstract

The invention discloses a self-adaptation control method for cost-driven copies. The method comprises the steps of obtaining the access number and the copy number of files stored in all data servers,according to the access number, ranking the files, obtaining an access amount ranking list, and determining a hot file set and an unpopular file set; if the copy number of first files in the hot fileset is not larger than an ideal threshold value, executing a copy generation strategy for the first files; executing a copy reduction strategy on all files in the unpopular file set. By adopting the method, the copy files can be dynamically and self-adaptively adjusted, and the system storage space can be saved while the file reliability is ensured.
