Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a generation method and device of a material arrangement task. The method can include: receiving a target region arrangement instruction for a target warehouse, wherein the instruction includes at least one goods shelf number; dividing a warehouse position, which corresponds to each goods shelf number in the instruction, into a destination warehouse position set and a source warehouse position set according to pre-stored inventory information of the target warehouse; and judging whether at least one packing box which can be moved into a warehouse position in the destination warehouse position set exists in a warehouse position in the source warehouse position set, and if yes, generating the material arrangement task, wherein the material arrangementtask includes a goods shelf number corresponding to the source warehouse position and/or a goods shelf number corresponding to the destination warehouse position. The material arrangement task does not need to be generated by artificially going inside the warehouse to view each warehouse position one by one, thus time of generating the material arrangement task can be greatly shortened, generation efficiency of the material arrangement task is greatly improved, then material arrangement efficiency of the target warehouse is greatly improved, and finally, efficiency of warehouse management isimproved.
