Abstract

The present application discloses a method of noise reduction in an audio processing device, the method comprising: a) providing a time-varying electrical input signal representing sound; b) providing a logarithmic representation of said electrical input signal; c) providing a The specific slope expressed logarithmically is a predetermined statistical model of the likelihood due to reverberation; d) identifying the instants when the electrical input signal is a reverberant signal according to said statistical model; and e) applying decay to the instants identified as reverberant .
