Abstract

An embodiment of the application discloses a method for providing an augmented reality (AR) service. The method comprises the following steps of obtaining, by a terminal, a real scene image containinga real object, sending the real scene image to a server; matching, by the server, the real scene image with a previously stored object image; according to a mark corresponding to the object containedin a matched object image, obtaining display information, corresponding to the mark, as an AR content from a database; sending the AR content to the terminal; and enabling the terminal to display anAR scene image containing the real object and the display information thereof according to the display information and the real scene image. The method adopts an AR technique to establish the shared channel of the display information, such as evaluation information, of the on-line and off-line real object, and is convenient for a user to be capable of experiencing an AR scene with the evaluation information of the real object by utilizing the mobile terminal in an off-line manner. The application also discloses a device for providing the AR service.
