Abstract

The liquid crystal composition comprises at least one or more compounds as represented by a general formula I and one or more compounds as represented by a general formula II, wherein the general formula I is as described in the specification; the compounds as represented by the general formula I are compounds having connected 2,3-difluorobenzene structures and difluoromethoxy bridge bonds and having large dielectric anisotropy and vertical dielectricity; and the compounds as represented by the general formula II are of double-ring structures, have the characteristics of low rotational viscosity and excellent mutual solubility, and are an essential component for fast-response liquid crystal displays. The liquid crystal composition of the invention has low rotational viscosity, large vertical dielectricity and fast response speed and can be used for liquid crystal displays of various display modes; as applied to displays with TN, IPS or FFS modes, the liquid crystal composition can significantly improve the display effect of liquid crystal displays; and the liquid crystal composition is especially applicable to a FFS liquid crystal display mode and can effectively improve the flickering problem of the FFS mode display and enhancing transmittance.
