Abstract

Existing technologies for discriminating and identifying geo-authentic crude drugs by discriminating the appearance, the smell and the factory label have a problem of restriction. The method in the invention comprises the following steps: [1] testing the content of trace elements in a soil sample from the source area of the geo-authentic crude drug and the content of the trace element in a geo-authentic crude drug sample; [2] testing the content of the trace elements in a soil sample for cultivating a non-geo-authentic crude drug and the content of the trace elements in the non-geo-authentic crude drug; [3] determining the discriminating standards of for the corresponding variety of the geo-authentic crude drugs tested in step [1] and step [2], wherein the discriminating standards are the content of trace elements or the content ratio of two trace elements; and [4] testing the content of the trace elements in a crude drug sample to be tested, and comparing obtained data with the data of the discriminating standards to judge whether the crude drug sample to be tested is a geo-authentic crude drug or not.
