Abstract

Provided is a shaft having a hole extending radially outward from the inside of the shaft and open to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft. When viewed in the radial direction of the shaft, the opening of the hole has a contour having a first curvature and a second curvature which is smaller than the first curvature. The hole has, in the radial direction of the shaft: an outer hole section extending radially inward a predetermined length from the opening end while maintaining the contour; a cylindrical inner hole section having a smaller hole diameter than the outer hole section; and a reduced-diameter section having a diameter reduced from the outer hole section toward the inner hole section. The outer hole section, the reduced-diameter section, and the inner hole section are arranged in this order from the outside to the inside of the shaft in the radial direction.
