Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a short-wave radio direction finding system and method based on an irregular antenna array structure. The system includes an irregular antenna array and a direction finding receiver, wherein the irregular antenna array includes M antenna units, is deployed at any location in a three-dimensional space, receives arrival signals, and transmits the arrival signals received by the M antenna units to the direction finding receiver for processing; and a signal sampling module of the direction finding receiver obtains an irregular antenna array signal in the form of a vector, transmits the signal to a spatial spectrum calculation processing module, obtains a noise subspace base vector through the irregular antenna array signal, and then constructs an irregular rotation vector for the given azimuth angle theta and pitch angle phi, and performs angle searching to obtain estimation results of the azimuth angles and the pitch angles of the arrival signals.The invention proposes an improved spatial spectrum algorithm suitable for the irregular antenna array, the arbitrary deployment of the antenna array is allowed, the height of different antenna unitsis also considered, and the performance of the algorithm is improved.
