Abstract

The invention provides a downlight. The downlight comprises a lamp housing, a lamp cover, a light emitting member, a heat dissipating mechanism, a temperature sensor and an alarm mechanism. An openingis formed in one end of the lamp housing. The lamp cover is connected to the opening. The light emitting member is connected to the inner side of the lamp housing. The heat dissipating mechanism is located on the lamp housing. The temperature sensor is arranged in the lamp housing and connected with the alarm mechanism, and therefore signals are transmitted to the alarm mechanism by the temperature sensor when the inner temperature of the lamp cover is sensed by the temperature sensor and reaches a high temperature preset value. The heat dissipating mechanism comprises a heat dissipater and aheat dissipating part, wherein the heat dissipater is connected to the other end of the lamp housing, and the heat dissipating part is connected to the lamp housing. The downlight solves the problemsthat a prior downlight is damaged by heat generated by the prior downlight in the using process. When the inner temperature of the lamp cover is sensed by the temperature sensor and reaches the hightemperature preset value, the signals are transmitted to the alarm mechanism, alarm signals are generated or illuminating members are powered off, and the illuminating members are prevented from beingdamaged. Because the heat dissipater and the heat dissipating part are arranged on the tail portion of the shell and the shell respectively, dual heat dissipation is achieved, the heat dissipating effect is improved, and the service life is prolonged.
