The SAP composite ground materials for electric engineering comprises the following components by mass fraction: 35-45% of SAP, 5-20% of graphite, 1-3% of carbon black, 0.1-3% of carbon fiber and 30-45% of electroconductive cement. The present invention further discloses a preparation method of SAP compositeground materials for electric engineering. The ground materials have super absorbent and water retention functions so as to improve the ground body lightning current conduction and releasing capacities and meet the industrial frequency grounding resistance requirements of an overhead line structure; and moreover, the ground materials are few in raw materials and simple in preparation process, andis suitable for wide usage.
