The method comprises the steps that 1) an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flies in an area whichneeds detection, and carries a high-sensitivity vector magnetometer; 2) a detection result of the high-sensitivity vector magnetometer on the UAV is obtained; 3) the detection result of first flight is compared with a local magnetic field result, the detection result of latter flight is compared with that of a former flight, when the difference between the results is greater than 10pT, it is determined there is an abnormal magnetic field in the area and a step 4) is turned to, and when the difference between the results is lower than or equivalent to 10pT, it is determined that there is no abnormal magnetic field in the area, the flight for this time is ended, and the UAV flights in the next neighbor area till flight in all detection areas is completed; and 4) the position of the magneticmoment of the abnormal magnetic field are cacualted. The method of the invention has the advantages that the detection system has a higher detection capabilities for weak signals, and the magnetic abnormity detecting efficiency and positioning precision can be improved.
