Themethod comprises the steps that a first voltage value and second voltage value of each sensing capacitor are obtained; according to the first voltage value and second voltage value of each sensing capacitor, the temperature variation of the sub-pixel corresponding to each sensing capacitor is obtained; according to the temperature variation of each sub-pixel and a preset corresponding relation between the temperature variation and compensating parameter of each sub-pixel, a value of the compensating parameter of each sub-pixel is determined, and according to the determined values of the compensating parameters, driving voltage of each sub-pixel is compensated. The compensation method and device for the display panel have the advantages that the values of the compensating parameters of thedisplay panel are determined through the temperature variation, when the driving voltage of the display panel is compensated, the influence caused by the temperature change of the display panel is introduced so that compensation results can be more accurate, and the improvement of the display effect is facilitated.
