Abstract

The invention discloses a configuration method of a UPFC in a wind power collection area. The method comprises the steps of establishing an objective function, determining the variation of a load rate, voltage and transmission losses before and after mounting of the UPFC, performing constant volume calculation according to a preset algorithm to obtain a candidate solution of a preset function, exploiting a first optimal solution near the candidate solution according to a kent chaos search strategy, performing chaos optimization processing on the first optimal solution to exploit a second optimal solution, determining global optimal point information according to an obtained nth optimal solution after iteration processing for n times, and then configuring site selection of the UPFC according to the global optimal point information. The method solves the problems of transmission capacity reduction and heavy line load in the wind power collection area, and improves an optimization configuration effect of the UPFC.
