Abstract

The invention discloses a backlight module, a display device and a driving method thereof. The backlight module comprises a substrate, a plurality of light emitting modules arranged at one side of thesubstrate, a light exiting layer arranged at one side, away from the substrate, of each light emitting module, and a plurality of backlight driving modules. An overlapped area exists between the vertical projection of each first light emitting zone on the substrate and the vertical projection of each first light exit area on the substrate; an overlapped area exists between the vertical projectionof each second light emitting zone on the substrate and the vertical projection of each second light exit area on the substrate; an overlapped area exists between the vertical projection of each third light emitting zone on the substrate and the vertical projection of each third light exit area on the substrate. Light emitted from the first light exit area is red light; light emitted from the second light exit area is green light; and light emitted from the third light exit area is blue light. Each of the plurality of backlight driving modules is connected with at least one light emitting module.
