The method comprises the following steps of: initializing a subject description array RD;an author subject counting array AC; determining a paper set of a target author recorded in a PubMed paper library; traversing each paper in the paper set of the target author; wherein each paper is traversed; if yes, MESH numbers and MESH tree codes of all keywords of the paper are obtained, lexical item counting of each subject is counted according to the MESH tree codes, then an author subjectcounting array AC of the target author is updated, and the subject direction of the target author is determined according to the author subject counting array AC of the target author and output.
