Abstract

The invention discloses a testing device and a testing method of frost heave and thaw collapse characteristics of permafrost. The testing device of the frost heave and thaw collapse characteristics ofthe permafrost comprises a calorstat, a test box placed in the calorstat, a water replenishing system for replenishing water for a test sample in the test box, and a temperature control system for adjusting the freezing temperature of the test sample in the test box; the test box comprises a box body having two open ends, and a top temperature control device and a bottom temperature control device for sealing the upper and lower ends of the box body; a plurality of through holes for placing millimeter-scale microtubes and mouonting holes for placing temperature probes in the temperature control system are formed in at least one side face of the box body on the height direction, and a cold storage conducting strip in contact with the inner surface of the bottom temperature control device is placed in the box body below a water replenishing seepage layer; the water replenishing system comprises the millimeter-scale microtubes penetrating through the through holes and communicating withthe interior of the box body, and a water replenishing storage device communicating with the millimeter-scale microtubes; and the temperature control system, the top temperature control device and thebottom temperature control device are all electrically connected with the control system.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a test device for the characteristics of frost heaving and thawing, in particular to a test device for the characteristics of frost heaving and thawing of permafrost and a test method thereof. Background technique [0002] Frost heave and thaw settlement characteristics are one of the most prominent characteristics of frozen soil, which seriously affects the long-term stability of engineering structures. Especially for permafrost areas, where the climate conditions are harsh and the geological conditions are complex, the instability of engineering structures caused by soil frost heaving and thawing occurs frequently, which brings huge economic losses. Road damage losses due to frost heaving and thawing are as high as 2 billion US dollars (Style R W, Peppin S S L, Cocks AC F, et al. Ice-lens formation and geometrical supercooling in soils and other colloidal materials[J]. Physical Review E, 2011, 84 (4): 041402.). [0003] Alt...
