Abstract

The invention discloses a modulation method of a brushless direct current motor system with a small capacitor as a direct current link. The method is used for modulation of a topology structure in which a single-phase diode rectifier bridge is used for a rectification stage, a three-phase inverter bridge is used for an inversion stage, and a direct current link switch tube and a direct current link capacitor are connected in series for the direct current link. The modulation method comprises the following steps: a region which an output voltage |us| of the single-phase diode rectifier bridge belongs to is judged in each control period; when the output voltage |us| of the single-phase diode rectifier bridge enters a region 1, only one of six switch tubes of the three-phase inverter bridge is controlled to perform wave chopping at a variable frequency in the region 1; and when the output voltage |us| of the single-phase diode rectifier bridge enters a region 2, only the direct-current link switch tube connected with the direct-current link capacitor in series is controlled to perform the wave chopping at the variable frequency. According to the modulation method of the brushless direct current motor system with the small capacitor as the direct current link, the wave chopping of the direct current link switch tube is ensured on the premise of avoiding simultaneous wave chopping of the direct current link switch tube and the switch tubes of the inverter bridge and not increasing the number of the total switching times of a current transformer.
