The piston hydrogen energy working system comprises a hydrogen reaction bed unit, a hydrogen compression unit, a hydrogen expansion machine, a generator, a storage battery and an external power grid, wherein the hydrogen expansion machine is connected with a shaft of the generator; a circuit of the generator is connected with the storage battery and the external power grid; the hydrogen reaction bed unit is provided with a heat exchange center and at least two hydrogen reaction beds; the hydrogen compression unit comprises at least one air cylinder; the air cylinder is provided with a piston, a left push rod, a right push rod, a hydrogen inlet and a hydrogen outlet; a negative pressure hydrogen outlet of each hydrogen reaction bed is connected to the hydrogen compression unit through a negative pressure hydrogen outlet pipeline; the hydrogen compression unit is connected to an inlet of the hydrogen expansion machine through a hydrogen inlet pipeline; and an outlet of the hydrogen expansion machine is connected to a negative pressure hydrogen inlet of each hydrogen reaction bed through a negative pressure hydrogen inlet pipeline. According to the system, a normal pressure end is formed under the action of the piston, the expansion machine is driven to do work by circular flow of a working medium being hydrogen between the normal pressure end and a negative pressure end, the generator is driven to generate electricity or drive equipment, and therefore, natural energy is fully utilized.
