Abstract

The invention provides a polarization reconfigurable broadband omnidirectional antenna. According to the invention, the polarization reconfigurable characteristic can be achieved under the condition of ensuring the broadband circular polarization omnidirectional property of the antenna. The antenna comprises a dielectric substrate, a radiation unit, a floor, a monopole radiator and a direct current circuit unit. The radiation unit comprises an annular patch printed on the upper surface of the dielectric substrate, a metal patch in a ring and a microstrip line which is connected with the annular patch and the metal patch. The periphery of the metal patch is provided with the gap and a parasitic coupling patch, so that the broadband characteristic of the antenna is ensured. The annular patchand an arc patch printed on the lower surface of a dielectric substrate are provided with diodes, and are connected with each other through a first metalized through hole, so that the polarization reconfigurable characteristic is realized. The monopole radiator penetrates through the through holes in the floor and the dielectric substrate and is connected with the metal patch.
