Embodiment Construction

[0026] In this example, see figure 1 , in the standard RGB sub-pixel arrangement structure, the red sub-pixel R, the green sub-pixel G, and the blue sub-pixel B are arranged in sequence, and the arrangement order of the sub-pixels in each row is the same.

[0027] refer to figure 2 , in the RGB-Delta type sub-pixel arrangement structure, the red sub-pixel R, the green sub-pixel G, and the blue sub-pixel B are repeatedly arranged in a triangle. It should be noted that in the RGB-Delta type sub-pixel arrangement structure, the odd-numbered rows and even-numbered rows are arranged in different ways, and the repeated pixels of the odd-numbered rows are RB, GR, BG, and the repeated pixels of the even-numbered rows are GB, RG, BR.

[0028] refer to image 3 , in a RGB-Delta type display panel sub-pixel rendering method based on threshold value comparison, the sub-pixel rendering algorithm in the odd-numbered row rendering unit is performed in the following steps:

Abstract

The invention discloses an RGB-Delta type display panel sub-pixel rendering method based on threshold comparison, and the method comprises the steps: 1, obtaining and processing an original image, andobtaining a gray value matrix of RGB sub-pixels; 2, sequentially calculating gray-scale values in the standard pixel units and comparing the gray-scale values with a threshold value; and 3, solving agray scale value of a sub-pixel in a rendering unit of the RGB-Delta type display panel, forming a three-primary-color pixel, and displaying an original image. According to the RGB-Delta type displaypanel, the defects that sub-pixels of the RGB-Delta type display panel are arranged irregularly and the number of the sub-pixels is insufficient can be overcome, so that the RGB-Delta type display panel can normally display images, and image information can be well restored under the conditions that colors are not distorted and the color edge effect is effectively controlled.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of image processing and display technology, more specifically to a RGB-Delta type display panel sub-pixel rendering method based on threshold value comparison. Background technique [0002] With the rapid development of display technology, active array active light-emitting diodes (AMOLED) have gradually replaced liquid crystal displays (LCDs) as the mainstream display panels for various electronic devices due to their wide color gamut, high brightness, and flexibility. The liquid crystal display uses the backlight to emit light passively, and realizes RGB colors through optical filters. The manufacturing process is simple, the cost is low, and the standard RGB sub-pixel arrangement is adopted, and each pixel can independently display different colors. The RGB sub-pixels of AMOLED are made of red, green, and blue self-luminous organic materials. Especially under the current development trend of large-scale and...
