According to certain embodiments, methods of measurement reporting performed by a wireless device are disclosed herein. The method includes detecting a first number of beams. The method also includes measuring one or more characteristics of the second number of beams. The second number of beams includes one or more of the first number of beams. The method also includes generating a measurement report including beam measurement information derived from measurements of the one or more characteristics of the second number of beams.
