Abstract

The aim of the invention is to expand the design ofthe strand guide segment (1) according to the prior art in such a way that the strand guide segment has a significantly simpler design and can be produced cost-effectively. The problem is solved by the strand guide segment (1). In terms of the strand guide segment, an upper frame (3) and / or a lower frame (4) comprise at least two side boxes (10a, 10b) which are arranged outside in the width direction of the strand guide segment (1).
