Embodiment Construction

[0017] The present disclosure will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. Apparently, the described embodiments are only some of the embodiments of the present disclosure, not all of them. All other embodiments obtained based on the embodiments of the present disclosure by those skilled in the art without creative effort will fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.

[0018] Figures 1a to 1c Attachment and detachment operations of viscose components are depicted. In some embodiments, the glue assembly has pointed microfibers such that when the glue assembly first comes into contact with the object, the initial contact area with the surface of the object to be grasped is negligible (e.g. Figure 1a shown), so the glue will not stick to the surface of the object. When the viscose glue touches the surface of the object, the glue component can be activated by shear force (such as Figure 1b shown), and this motio...

Abstract

The invention provides a robot (300) with synthetic fiber glue and a gripper (100). The gripper may include a housing (10) and two finger-shaped assemblies (20). The finger-shaped assemblies are usedfor grabbing objects on the two opposite side faces. Each finger-shaped assembly can comprise a connecting rod (201), a gasket part (202) and a synthetic fiber adhesive layer (203). The connecting rods are movably connected to the housing. The gasket parts may be connected to the connecting rods, and the connecting rods may move the gasket parts toward the object under the action of a driving force. The synthetic fiber adhesive layers may be attached to the gasket parts. The microfibers of the synthetic fiber adhesive layers are inclined towards the direction far away from the shell.

Description

[0001] cross reference [0002] This application is based on 35 U.S.C. §119(e), claiming Application No. 62 / 721,352, filed August 22, 2018, entitled "Synthetic Fiber Adhesion Mechanisms for Enhanced Gripping Ability of Multi-Fingered Grippers" Priority of the U.S. Provisional Patent, the disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety. technical field [0003] The present disclosure relates generally to gripping devices, and more particularly to robots and grippers with viscose glue. Background technique [0004] Robotic grippers are widely used in industrial automation and manufacturing, services and research laboratories involving human-machine interaction. Most multi-fingered grippers rely heavily on either normal clamping force to generate sufficient friction. For small objects that can fit between the fingers, the grasping capability is strongly dependent on the actuation force, which is a difficult limitation for many graspers. For large obje...
